Maggie's 9 Months!

So Maggie hit 9 months this past Sunday! We went to see Dr. B on Monday and she's still the biggest baby on the block! She has 3 teeth now and she's got the sweetest smile! Dr. B said that her AV Malformation seemed smaller in appearance and feeling it. I was hoping that she would say that because I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to get my hopes up. I'm not sure if it will stay that way or go away or end up growing larger later, but we meet with the surgeon again in March so we'll see then! I was also thrilled to hear that she didn't need any shots yesterday! What a relief!

Here's her current stats (all above the 97th percentile):

Head: 18 3/4 in.
Height: 30 in.
Weight: 26 lbs.

I just checked Wyatt's stats from 9 months and she weighs the same as he did. He was 2 inches taller and his head was bigger, but there's no denying we grow large babies over here!

November

November was a month. I took pictures for friends (I'll post some of those later), the kids were sick, I took a few pics of the kiddos, and we had Thanksgiving twice. Wyatt is on his 2nd antibiotic and Maggie is on her 3rd. Wyatt had an ear infection and lower respiratory infection while Maggie got a really bad sinus infection. We've had a time with all the doctor visits and fevers and snotty kids who just havn't felt good. They are doing much better now as they're finishing up this (hopefully) last round of antibiotics.

Aside from the sickness, I think I've decided that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. No gifts or cards, just food and family! We celebrated Thanksgiving with Kev's family the Saturday before and then with my family on Thursday. Here are some pics from the events...yes Maggie is wearing the same dress because it says "My 1st Thanksgiving" and I got it 50% off and since we celebrated twice, she wore it twice. It's not like it'll be appropriate to wear it again!

We got to go look at Christmas lights while my sister's family was in town. Here's Wy and cousin E holding hands. They love each other so much!

Maggie Lately!

Here's a few things about the Maggster lately:

In August she was 5 months. We decided to see how she would do w/rice cereal because she seemed interested.

As you can see from the pictures, she was not a fan!

In September, she turned 6 months! Here are her stats:

Head: 18 in. (above 97th %)
Height: 29 1/4 in. (above 97th %)
Weight: 23 lb. 1 oz. (above 97th %)

She's our little chunk!
On more serious note, we found out that Maggie has an AV Malformation under her left breast. these can be quite dangerous if found in the head, but usually aren't in other areas. We met with a surgeon at MCG and both he and Dr. B will be watching it and making sure we're taking the right steps to take care of Maggie. They have both assured us that it's not something to worry about too much right now. It will probably be something we'll have to watch for the rest of her life, but we're working on giving it to God.

Now for a couple pictures I took for Maggie's 6 month/Wyatt's 2 year photo session (it was very quick and unplanned).I love her beautiful face!She's not quite sitting up for long intervals. This was taken very quickly!

Picures...FINALLY!!

So I finally got some pictures to upload...one at a time! I'm almost beyond frustrated w/blogger right now. Oh well. Here are the few that I decided to load because I'm just not patient enough to load all the ones I wanted.

Since Wyatt is an avid fan of all things that go, we had a Thomas/Cars birthday. Here he is with his Cars hat and train set from Noni and Grandpa. He was very serious about his new train set from the moment he saw it. We almost couldn't get him to do anything else for the entire party!

Wyatt's 2!

My little man is 2 years old! We had his party the day after we got back from vacation--so thankful for my parents for getting it put together while we were gone!

But first--Here are his stats from his 2 year check-up!

Head: 20 7/8 in (above 97%)
Weight: 39 1/2 lbs (above 97%)
Height: 38 3/8 in (above 97%)

He has jumped back up in his percentiles. He's almost an inch for every pound! He wears size 3 and 4 in shirts and 2 and 3 in his shorts. He'll have to wear 3 in pants this winter for the length, but he sure is skinny. His verbal vocabulary is picking up a good bit and I get tickled every time I hear something new.

He's definitely a silly boy! I didn't know kids were intentionally silly at 2 years old, but he sure is. The other night we were reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See? and when we got to the blue horse (he calls it a "buu neigh"), he says "ahnge cack cack" (orange duck). When I corrected him, he just grinned and repeated "ahnge cack cack". He thought it was so funny...and it was! He continues to amaze us every day. He's so sweet and he loves Maggie so much! He likes to say "buu" and "ahnge" all the time! It's terrible in a house that prefers red and black! Needless to say, we're working on it!


**It must not be meant for me to share pics from Wyatt's birthday right now because I can't get it to work. I will have to try again later. I just knew I neededto share this post that I typed months ago! Since this post, Wyatt's vocabulary has continued to increase tremendously! He still won't say red and black, but at least he's laying off the blue and orange all the time!

Picture Overload!

I know it's been a while, but I am still here! I had Wyatt's birthday post all typed up and I went to add pictures, but hit a snag. It seems that my computer finally ran out of memory for downloading pics from the camera. So in between managing life with 2 little ones and finishing my first crochet project (a blanket for my nephew!) and sleeping (not much), I've been transferring pictures and documents and anything else I could to an external hard-drive that I got for Christmas last year (yes I did plan ahead to know that I would need it!). So now that I have some space on the computer, I should be able to add all of the August and September pictures soon! Coming up is Wyatt's 2nd birthday, Maggie's 6 months, and something fun I forgot about from May! See you soon! :)

Vacation 2011

We weren't sure we were going to be able to do vacation this year, but some things kind of fell into place and with a generous gift of vacation points from my parents, we were able to go to Orlando! We stayed in a lovely suite at a gorgeous resort and we went to SeaWorld and spent a little time at Downtown Disney. Also, Nana and JJ came with us! Wyatt was so excited to ride in "Nana car!" On the way down, we stopped at St. Simon's Island to let Wyatt run around on the beach. He had a blast!

Maggie's 4 Months!

Okay, so she turned 4 months back in July and now she'll be 6 months on Sunday. I know--this is really late. However, better late than never! Here are her stats:

Head: 17 1/8" (96th percentile)
Height: 26 3/8" (97th percentile)
Weight: 19 lbs. 7 oz. (above 97th percentile)

Comparatively speaking, she's still competing with Wyatt for giant baby status! Here are his stats: 18" head, 28" height, 19 lbs. 13 oz. weight (all above 97th percentile). This is when Wyatt was really off the charts. So Maggie's a little shorter but right on with the weight so she's our little chunker. I did manage to take some pictures of her when she was 3 months so enjoy!
