More Sickness

Sorry it's been so long since the last post, but we had more sickness. Luckily it wasn't Wyatt this time, but Kev and I had it bad. We got the stomach bug that's been going around. Kev wasn't feeling well that V-day weekend and went down with the bug around 3ish Tuesday morning. So I called in sick for him at work and took care of him for the first time since we've been married. You see, Kevin doesn't get sick. Everybody knows it. Even his boss said that when I spoke to her that morning. Then around 6ish Wednesday morning, as Kevin was getting ready for work, it was my turn. Unfortunately, he had to go to work. Luckily, they let him come home at lunch because I really needed him.
We were finally feeling much better this weekend. I'm still not 100%, but oh well. The best news is that I lost the rest of my prego weight and I'm officially back in my pre-prego jeans!!! I'm so excited! It only took 6 months and a bug :P
Stay tuned for a Super-Wy update and pics!

The Great Snow of 2010!

On February 12, 2010, the local (and non-local) meteorologists were predicting several inches of snow for our area. Now, usually this would not be anything major for this time of year, unless you live in our area in the south. I watched the weather and the news as schools were closing early all day. I saw the flurries starting and still refused to believe that it would actually amount to anything. Then it happened. The ground began to get white! I continued to watch in awe as the snow accumulated on the ground, the car, and the plants. It was so cool! I haven't seen real snow like this since elementary school, so this has been a real treat.
Kevin and I took Wyatt out for his first snow. It was really important because it could be another 10-15 years before he sees it again. You never know what the weather holds in Georgia. We made sure to bundle him well because we didn't want to risk him getting any sicker. So here are some pictures of our fun!

Kevin and I tried our hand at building a snowman! We couldn't find any sticks for the arms, so we settled for sparklers! What did Wyatt do while we built him? He jumped in the jumper inside where it was warm! Every couple minutes, Kevin would run to the door, open it, look at Wyatt, and close it because Wyatt was just fine while we were playing in the snow!

Happy Birthday Cousin B!

Here are some of the pictures of B's birthday party. He loves Star Wars so his mom made red velvet cake and decorated it with star wars characters. It was so great and B loved it!

Playtime with SuperWy!

The cakes! (The tablecloth was 3D!)

Blowing out the candles!

Yes: He asked for this as a birthday gift. The boy loves milk!

Kev picked out the same card as his parents, so we heard the theme to Star Wars in surround sound!

Wyatt really wanted cake, but he settled for a plate with Nana!

Wyatt's 6 Months!

Like I said in the last post, we went to visit Kevin's brother's family last weekend. We had such a good time. We went up there Saturday afternoon and were sure to make it back by kickoff (for the superbowl). Saturday night, we thought it would be fun to let B feed Wyatt. That was enough entertainment to last for a while!

The finished product!

He really needed a bath after this. So I gave him one...

...in the kitchen sink!

The reason for the trip was to celebrate cousin B's birthday, but we managed to celebrate Wyatt's half-birthday for a few minutes as well. I thought it would be fun to celebrate by letting Wyatt try his first real food. We opted for bananas. He wasn't quite sure what to think at first, but he ended up enjoying the whole container!

Still Sick

Last weekend we went to visit Kev's brother's family for cousin B's birthday (expect a post on that next). I was going to post about it and Wyatt's 6-month-old celebration this past Monday, but Wyatt decided he needed to run a fever instead. Now, I probably wouldn't have been too concerned because it was just 100.7, but he had been on antibiotic for his sinus infection for several days and hadn't had a fever up until this point. So needless to say, we went to the doctor and I was very worried because the nurse didn't even ask the doctor; she just said to come right in.
On the bright side, we finally got to see Dr. B! (This is a big deal if you know that Dr. B has been unable to work because of complications from knee surgery since before Wyatt was born.) She checked him out and heard a little rattling/wheezing in his chest and said that it's RSV. I used to think that those were the scariest set of letters known to momkind until recently when I learned that not all cases end up in the hospital. So Dr. B gave him a new antibiotic (which doesn't taste as good) and albuterol for the coughing/wheezing.
Fast forward through the week of a pitiful sounding baby that just makes me want to cry when he coughs. We are so blessed to have such a happy-go-lucky baby who just laughs and smiles even when he doesn't feel good. I don't know how I would have made it through this if he were crying and pitiful the whole time. Wyatt is definitely doing better. I think his fever is finally gone today (**knock on wood) and he is coughing less. He is still super-congested and has a stuffy nose, but I know some of it is just going to be sinus/allergy junkiness.

Now for some pictures from today. Wyatt has recently developed a love for the remote control. I know--he's not wearing any clothes, but he prefers to be this way and he had just messed up his outfit!
I will eat you now!
I see it and I will have it!

I will follow you until I faceplant into the couch!

Look at my foot!

**Stay tuned for pictures from cousin B's birthday, Wyatt's 6-month-oldness, and snow!! :)

Sick Again

It seems that SuperWy has inherited my sinuses. He's been congested for a while, but yesterday morning he woke up with a persistent cough. He coughed for several minutes until I got the booger-sucker and sucked out what he was trying to cough up. Then he woke up coughing several times last night. So I called the doctor this morning and took him in. It turns out that he has his first, probably not his last, sinus infection. I feel so bad for him, but he's just so happy. Every time he coughs or sneezes he just smiles and coos. He's just so darn precious! Anyways, we got some antibiotics so hopefully he'll be all better soon!
**His weight today was 21 lbs. 5 oz.
On a different note, we're getting closer to rolling over on his own. He just can't seem to put his arm in the right position. We're working on it though!

Wyatt's new feet...I mean feat?

Wyatt has finally discovered his feet! I wish I had a picture of it, because he is just about as happy as can be when he's holding his feet, but I don't. So I guess you, my readers, will just have to settle for these other fabulous pictures of my precious little man!
Here we go!

Is there anything sweeter than Daddy reading to baby?

I love my monkey rug!

Where's Wyatt?

There he is!

This one's for Noni: she gave him these overalls for Christmas and he just looks so darn cute in them (if I do say so myself)!
