Our First Family Vacation

**Warning--this blog is loaded with pictures!
We took our first vacation as a family last week and it was so much fun! It was only two days, but it was just us. It was spontaneous (last-minute), but it wouldn't have been us if it had been all planned out. We even contemplated driving down to see the shuttle launch Sunday night, but I thought that would be a bit much since it was already Sunday afternoon. Instead we relaxed on Monday and planned to get an early start the next day. However, Wyatt decided to sleep in so we really got a late start.
We went to Savannah for the afternoon to walk around on River Street. I love River Street. There's so much to see and they have the best candy shop! One of my bridesmaids, who's getting married in October, came to hang out with us for a little while. She called it procrastination (she had a paper due the next day). We had a great visit!

We left Savannah and drove South. We didn't really have a set plan. We just left our options open. We ended up staying the night in Brunswick and then went to St. Simon's. We walked on the beach and then just strolled around looking at some of the shops. Then we came home. It was a short trip, but just what we needed during the break!
Wyatt liked looking at himself in front of the big mirror in our hotel room!

So excited and not even in the water yet!
Welcome to the water!

I want to go back in the water!

Yes he's wearing sunscreen!!
We wore him out!

Sittin and Rollin Rollin Rollin

Wyatt is officially sitting up and rolling. He can't get to a sitting position on his own and when he gets tired, he falls over, but he can sit for a pretty long period of time to play. As for the rolling, he only rolls in one direction, but he's rolling front to back and back to front. This is a big improvement from a month ago when he couldn't stand to spend any time on his tummy at all. He's also turning around on his tummy. He hasn't turned it into scooting or army crawling, but I fear that it's only a matter of time! We went ahead and got some cabinet locks and we already had the outlets covered before he was born. All we need now is a doorway gate and some more energy for me and we'll be ready to keep up with a mobile baby! Here are some pictures of our SuperWy enjoying time on the floor!

He likes to roll around on the floor!

Cousin B took this picture of SuperWy with all of his toys piled in his lap.

Wyatt likes the puppy dog!

All that rolling around wore him out!
