Need I Say More?

Okay, so I'm not sure why one leg is clothed and the other isn't, but I guess it means he had fun with his daddy?

More of my niece!

My sister and her husband recently went to Puerto Rico for some friends' wedding. Obviously they weren't going to take a 7-month old out of the country, so my parents got to keep her for a week. I was instructed to take lots of I did! My niece is so precious. You can check out her 6-month pics here. I had so much fun. Little E gets bigger everytime I see her and she's developing such a great personality. So without further ado, here we go!

Aunt Tracy doing bottle time!

**I know what you're thinking--"Anybody can take good pictures of such a beautiful baby!" However, E is not nearly as cooperative and smiley as Wyatt, who smiles at the drop of a hat! It takes a lot of patience and perseverance to get good shots of this precious little one. But it is so worth it to see those incredible blue eyes smile at you!

The Tub Quacks

At one of our baby showers, we got an inflatable duck tub for Wyatt. I figured we'd probably use it when he got a little older because it would be something fun. Well, he's a little large for his baby tub and he slides around too much in the tub, so I thought I'd pull it out and see if he fit in it. He did...and he loves it! It's the perfect size for him and he loves to splash in it! Plus, it quacks when you squeeze the beak. Here's a few pictures of him enjoying his quacking tub.
Daddy likes to squirt him with water.

So happy!

Did I mention my niece was in town for a few days? Well she was. Here's a pic of me with her. It's not the greatest, but I haven't had a pic with her since she was born...guess I'll have to work on that!

9 Month Stats

Wyatt had his 9 month check-up today. Dr. B (whom we absolutely love!) said he looked great and answered all of our questions and gave us a whole bunch of info. Wyatt's doing very well developmentally and he's right on track for a 9 month old. Surprise, surprise--Wyatt is still above the 97th percentile for all of his measurements. His growth is following it's own little curve. He had to get his foot pricked to check his hemoglobin levels and he got one shot. He gnawed on the tongue depressor the whole time and only cried for a couple seconds. He did so good! His top teeth are just all coming in at the same time so he's been pretty cranky for a while due to that. Hopefully they'll finish coming in and he'll get back to his normal self soon!
Now for the measurements:
Head: 19 1/2 in.
Weight: 26 lbs.
Height: 32 1/4 in.
He's growing so fast. It's hard to believe he'll be a year old so soon!

Made in China

***Warning: This post is kinda gross. Don't read if you get grossed out easily (don't worry, there will be no pictures!)

So the other day, I was changing Wyatt's dirty diaper and found something interesting. I saw some big pieces of some bright tealish colored something. I knew this was very unnatural so I used a wipe to pick it up (don't judge me!) and figured out what it was. The following is the conversation with my husband:

Me: Hey Kev...I think Wyatt swallowed some of that tag you let him eat yesterday. Wanna see?

Kev (in the other room): No (thirty seconds pass). Can I still see it?

Me: Yeah.

So I pick it up again and as he comes in it flips over. On the other side of the tealish colored paper, we could read "in China".

"How did this happen?" you might ask. The day before this, I was in the kitchen and Kevin was watching Wyatt while he was playing MarioKart. Suddenly I hear Kev yelling, "Wyatt, NO! No Wyatt! NO!"
I came in to find him taking away the tag from a basket we let him play with. We checked his mouth and didn't see anything and he was fine so we just assumed he didn't actually eat any of it.
I guess you could blame it on me because I had seen the tag the day before and thought to myself, "I need to cut that off and throw it away before Wyatt finds it." Maybe next time I'll listen to myself sooner!

Lesson learned :)
