We went on a much needed vacation this week. We had originally planned to drive halfway on Sunday and arrive in Panama City Beach, FL Monday, but I didn't feel well Saturday night and Sunday morning, so we drove the whole way (8 hours) on Monday. This was definitely not something I would do again with a 10 (almost 11) month old. Luckily, we were able to stay with my sis last night and drove the rest of the way this morning.
Even though it rained about 90% of our stay, we still managed to have a good time. Many thanks to our friends A & R who allowed us to rent their backhouse for a much more frugal stay than we would have gotten at a hotel. I was bad and didn't get very many pictures, but I got some and I'll post them later this week!
We were receiving some of the repercussions from the tropical storm in the gulf so the waters were pretty rough and I don't think Wyatt enjoyed them as much as he did when we went to St. Simon's earlier this year. However, he liked it some and we enjoyed playing with him and just getting away!
We ate at two great restaurants at A's recommendation and the food was so yummy! We ate at the Saltwater Grill and the Boatyard. The Saltwater Grill had this huge aquarium full of pretty fish and we enjoyed looking at it for a little bit. The Boatyard has a great view (which is probably better when it's not raining) and the MahiMahi was soooooo delicious!
Now for a Sneak Peak picture just for reading all of that! :)
