Let me just say that Wyatt loves applause. I mean, he really loves it. If we have the tv on and people start clapping, he stops what he's doing, runs to the tv, and starts clapping and smiling with them. Then he throws up his arms like he's celebrating a touchdown! I'm telling you right now that I see a big spotlight on him in his future!
So for this video, the drum counts as you hit it. When you get to 10, it cheers and applauds you. Needless to say, Wyatt LOVEs it! It also applauds when you get to the end of the alphabet (on another setting), but he doesn't care to wait that long. ;)

Wyatt's First Haircut!
While Kev was off on paternity leave, we decided to take advantage of our time together during the week by taking Wyatt for his first haircut. He was not excited about sitting in the chair, so he sat in my lap. However, his hairs got cut and a few of them made it into the baggy for rememberance. Now that I'm finally posting almost 2 months later, he's actually ready for another trim. I might even be brave enough to try it myself...or not. We'll see! Here's the befores and afters.

Maggie's 2 Months
Last week I took Maggie in for her 2 month check-up. It was awful. She cried for so long after her shots, I thought she'd never stop. Wyatt never cried that long. I think Wyatt was much more laid back than Maggie and he still is to an extent. As far as measurements go, Maggie is a healthy "little" girl. I knew she was growing, but I was surprised at how much.
To put it in perspective, here are Wyatt's measurements from his 2 month check-up:
Height: 25 1/4 in. (97th %)
Weight: 13 lbs. 5 oz. (75th %)
Head: 16 1/2 in. (90th %)
It wasn't until his 4 month check-up that he was off the charts. We all know how big he is now! So here are Maggie's 2 month stats:
Height: 24 1/4 in. (97th %)
Weight: 14 lbs. 12 oz. (above 97th %)
Head: 16 1/4 in. (95th %)
So she weighs more, but she's shorter. However, the percentiles are the same for the height because boys are generally taller. I think she's decided she needs to grow quickly so her size might protect her from her brother?
At 2 months old, Maggie is awake 2-3 times a day and she smiles a lot! She's wearing 3-6 months size clothes and her hair appears to be strawberry-blond to auburn depending on the lighting! Her big brother adores her and loves to love on her every chance he gets. We are so blessed by both of our babies!
Now for some 2 month pictures. I took these on Mother's Day.

The Zoo!
I would like to point out that it has taken 4 attempts to get these pictures uploaded. That's why it's been a while since the last post. Here goes:
After we went to the Aquarium, we took a day trip to the zoo. We got there a little later than we had wanted (big shocker!). I think we have forgotten how hard it is to get out the door with an infant while nursing. However, we still had a good time. I think Wyatt's favorite part was just walking around! By the end of the trip, he was exhausted! I'm not going to caption the pictures. I'm pretty sure they speak for themselves! Enjoy!
