Wyatt's 2!

My little man is 2 years old! We had his party the day after we got back from vacation--so thankful for my parents for getting it put together while we were gone!

But first--Here are his stats from his 2 year check-up!

Head: 20 7/8 in (above 97%)
Weight: 39 1/2 lbs (above 97%)
Height: 38 3/8 in (above 97%)

He has jumped back up in his percentiles. He's almost an inch for every pound! He wears size 3 and 4 in shirts and 2 and 3 in his shorts. He'll have to wear 3 in pants this winter for the length, but he sure is skinny. His verbal vocabulary is picking up a good bit and I get tickled every time I hear something new.

He's definitely a silly boy! I didn't know kids were intentionally silly at 2 years old, but he sure is. The other night we were reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See? and when we got to the blue horse (he calls it a "buu neigh"), he says "ahnge cack cack" (orange duck). When I corrected him, he just grinned and repeated "ahnge cack cack". He thought it was so funny...and it was! He continues to amaze us every day. He's so sweet and he loves Maggie so much! He likes to say "buu" and "ahnge" all the time! It's terrible in a house that prefers red and black! Needless to say, we're working on it!


**It must not be meant for me to share pics from Wyatt's birthday right now because I can't get it to work. I will have to try again later. I just knew I neededto share this post that I typed months ago! Since this post, Wyatt's vocabulary has continued to increase tremendously! He still won't say red and black, but at least he's laying off the blue and orange all the time!

Picture Overload!

I know it's been a while, but I am still here! I had Wyatt's birthday post all typed up and I went to add pictures, but hit a snag. It seems that my computer finally ran out of memory for downloading pics from the camera. So in between managing life with 2 little ones and finishing my first crochet project (a blanket for my nephew!) and sleeping (not much), I've been transferring pictures and documents and anything else I could to an external hard-drive that I got for Christmas last year (yes I did plan ahead to know that I would need it!). So now that I have some space on the computer, I should be able to add all of the August and September pictures soon! Coming up is Wyatt's 2nd birthday, Maggie's 6 months, and something fun I forgot about from May! See you soon! :)

Vacation 2011

We weren't sure we were going to be able to do vacation this year, but some things kind of fell into place and with a generous gift of vacation points from my parents, we were able to go to Orlando! We stayed in a lovely suite at a gorgeous resort and we went to SeaWorld and spent a little time at Downtown Disney. Also, Nana and JJ came with us! Wyatt was so excited to ride in "Nana car!" On the way down, we stopped at St. Simon's Island to let Wyatt run around on the beach. He had a blast!

Maggie's 4 Months!

Okay, so she turned 4 months back in July and now she'll be 6 months on Sunday. I know--this is really late. However, better late than never! Here are her stats:

Head: 17 1/8" (96th percentile)
Height: 26 3/8" (97th percentile)
Weight: 19 lbs. 7 oz. (above 97th percentile)

Comparatively speaking, she's still competing with Wyatt for giant baby status! Here are his stats: 18" head, 28" height, 19 lbs. 13 oz. weight (all above 97th percentile). This is when Wyatt was really off the charts. So Maggie's a little shorter but right on with the weight so she's our little chunker. I did manage to take some pictures of her when she was 3 months so enjoy!

My New Nephew

Like I said earlier, my sister had her baby at the beginning of June. Weird things have occurred since we've become moms. Both times that I've been pregnant, she got pregnant 3 months later. I had a boy and a girl and she had a girl and a boy. The weirdest thing is probably the fact that the age difference between our oldest 2 is EXACTLY the same as the difference between our youngest. Wyatt is 2 days shy of 3 months older than my niece and Maggie is 2 days shy of 3 months older than my nephew! I know. It's crazy! So enough of the craziness. On to the pictures! He's so handsome!

Best Friends

So my best friend L had her first baby, a little girl, a few weeks after Maggie was born. We weren't able to go see her because the kiddos had colds and she's in Atlanta. I had to wait for my nephew to be born before I could make another trip to Atlanta so when he was born in June, we got to introduce Maggie to her first best friend, Baby A! L got them matching onesies so we got a lot of pictures! Here are a few. Maggie was right at 3 months and A was just 2 months. You can definitely see quite a difference in size by only a month (even if Maggie is a healthy girl!).

L and I have been through everything together! It's so amazing that now we get to be mommies together too!

It Had to End Sometime

So summer break has come to an end. Kev went back to work today and the house is quite a different atmosphere. I miss having him home. I've been so spoiled having his help with the kiddos. Back to reality I guess. It's been good so far. Be prepared for things to get back to normal, Maggie to get on a good nap schedule (hopefully), and me to get back to regular blogging! No, we didn't do Disney. We're going to wait till the kids are a little older before we drop that kind of expense! We did go to the biggest Disney store in the world for fun though!

Luke's Senior Sneak Peek

While we were shooting family pics for the Fredericks, we got some senior pics for Luke. It's hard to believe he only has one more year of school before he's off to college. So here's a few shots of the oldest Frederick son.

Luke's shades are one of his favorite things so there in almost every picture from the day.
