July 2010

Not too much has been going on here. We've mostly been hanging around town because we've been on call for our friends who were expecting their sixth baby. They don't have any family here and not many friends are willing to go watch their other 5 kids if they went into labor. Well, as much as we were hoping to get a call, it never came. She finally had to be induced after the 40 week mark and baby #6 arrived last Friday, big and healthy and so precious! So these are the few pictures we've taken this month.

Cow Appreciation Day means free chicken if you dress up. I didn't feel good that night, but we couldn't pass up free food! So here is my cow husband!

Wyatt loves to fall asleep in his high chair!

It even reclines!
(Don't worry, I put him in his bed after I took the pictures!)

Wyatt loves playing the piano at Nana's house.

Vacay Pics

Okay, so now that it's been almost a month since I said I'd post, I figured I should probably share before I lose all my followers! I do apologize. We had a stomach bug the week I was planning to post and since then we've just been crazy busy! Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you! So without further ado, here are our 2010 vacation pictures!

It rained most of the time we were there. We stayed at a friend's guest house behind this gate that Kev had to open and close every time we came and went. It was only a problem when it rained!

We put Wyatt in the closet. He wasn't so sure about it. I'd never seen closets like this before (a couple feet off the ground in the wall).

We got a tent for Wyatt for extra sun protection. It was great until the wind blew and kept collapsing it. It would probably be great at the lake though.

I think he had a pretty good time.

He was more interested in the sand than the picture.

So determined to crawl in the sand!

We tried to get his footprints. This was the best we could do.

He liked playing with the water bottles.

Wyatt decided he wanted to drive the rest of the way home!

We had a good time. It was nice to just get away from home. We're really grateful to have friends with a guest house!

Vote!

So we created a car design in a Nascar contest for the fun of it. The winner's car will actually be in a real race. We put Wyatt's pictures all over it and we think it's fabulous! So go vote for us! Make sure you keep going back because you can vote every day!!

Vacation 2010

We went on a much needed vacation this week. We had originally planned to drive halfway on Sunday and arrive in Panama City Beach, FL Monday, but I didn't feel well Saturday night and Sunday morning, so we drove the whole way (8 hours) on Monday. This was definitely not something I would do again with a 10 (almost 11) month old. Luckily, we were able to stay with my sis last night and drove the rest of the way this morning.
Even though it rained about 90% of our stay, we still managed to have a good time. Many thanks to our friends A & R who allowed us to rent their backhouse for a much more frugal stay than we would have gotten at a hotel. I was bad and didn't get very many pictures, but I got some and I'll post them later this week!
We were receiving some of the repercussions from the tropical storm in the gulf so the waters were pretty rough and I don't think Wyatt enjoyed them as much as he did when we went to St. Simon's earlier this year. However, he liked it some and we enjoyed playing with him and just getting away!
We ate at two great restaurants at A's recommendation and the food was so yummy! We ate at the Saltwater Grill and the Boatyard. The Saltwater Grill had this huge aquarium full of pretty fish and we enjoyed looking at it for a little bit. The Boatyard has a great view (which is probably better when it's not raining) and the MahiMahi was soooooo delicious!
Now for a Sneak Peak picture just for reading all of that! :)
